Over 400 safety-pins and millions of jump-rings later, it is finished. And it is glorious.
It's very fragile, and when I take it off I usually end up having to fix a jump-ring or two, but it's so worth the hassle. It just feels so nice. A bit like chain mail, that liquid metal feeling. It's quite heavy, but not uncomfortable. I might lengthen the straps a bit as I feel it rides a bit high on the bust, but otherwise I am really really happy with it.

I tried it on over a few dresses and a more casual t-shirt & jeans look. Loving the versatility of it and can't wait to try it on with different outfits. I already have a few ideas for winter layering.
As I said in a previous post, it's not an exact copy because the jumbo safety pins are hard to find and pretty expensive. So I opted for the 2 inch and I love the way it turned out. A bit more like chain mail, slinkier. I have all sorts of ideas for safety pin jewelry now. And maybe this with the leftovers?:

I love that you made this!!! DIY seriously rules.
Yours looks even cooler with the pins smaller.
And its especially awesome the way you styled it over a floral print dress.
Would it be ok with you if we put a link on our blog to this post?
